ASL Customs carried out a comprehensive logistics audit for our client operating in the cosmetics industry. The problematic issue for him was how to make a product manufactured outside the EU be recognised as manufactured within the European Union after the goods had been packaged.
The first step we take immediately in the event of such an enquiry from a client is to provide complete information on the rules of origin. We then arrange a meeting with the client, at which we will answer all the questions in detail.
A key stage for this audit was to establish with the client what goods they wanted EU origin for. This allowed us to precisely refer to specific tariff codes. To make the audit even more precise, we need to see what the processing of each good looks like. In addition, we need to establish whether there is a change in the tariff code in relation to the imported goods ultimately after confection.
Thanks to our many years of experience and our ever-expanding knowledge, we are able to comprehensively assist our customers in every aspect of customs handling.
